After
many months of cooperation with Intel© before,
during and since the release of the Centrino™ processor,
ProspectSoft has launched the “eXtreme Mobility” platform
for its popular Customer Relationship Management
(CRM) system. |

ProspectSoft
CRM software systems are well known for their close
integration with the major accounting packages used
in the SME
sector. Through this new mobility dimension, customer
and supplier information from both the CRM software
and the accounts system is now accessible to ProspectSoft
CRM Software users wherever they are, whenever they
want it, on almost
any portable computing or communications device.
Not only is this data accessible to people on the move,
they can also process it. |

| How
has this come about and what does it mean? |
| |
Laptop
PCs using Intel’s Centrino processor incorporate
fast Wi-Fi Internet access, which ProspectSoft CRM
has been engineered to use. The CRM software system
can also operate on a laptop equipped with a GPRS
data
card – effectively
a fast, wireless modem. As well as laptop PCs, the
system can operate on a PDA and on GPRS or 3G mobile
phones, to meet different operational needs. |

As
an example, a ProspectSoft CRM software user with
a laptop can be continually and automatically updated
about
sales,
support, financial or delivery issues, while en route
to a customer. This can eliminate unpleasant surprises
on arrival and, more importantly, shows the customer
that his visitor is on top of events. |

Going
one step further, with access to the latest product
and price information from the accounts system, a salesperson
can produce a quotation while on site and take an order,
which is then processed automatically back in the office.
The customer can even be provided with an expected
delivery date. |

On
the service side, engineers can receive call schedule
updates, check directions to customer locations, verify
or re-order mobile parts stock, or complete and return
job-sheets, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without
needing to call the office. |

Even
if no connection is available, ProspectSoft CRM software
continues to operate off-line until the user is again
able
to communicate, when 2-way updates are resumed automatically. |
