 ProspectSoft CRM 2005 Partner Event Success!

Despite early motorway problems, the ProspectSoft CRM 2005 Partner event turned out very successful in the end, as shown by feedback from attendees, which was both enthusiastic and complimentary.

The main themes of the day were:
 
ProspectSoft is firmly committed to the reseller channel, especially compared to other CRM suppliers. Our CRM system is exactly right for the channel, as low-end, low-margin contact managers are sold over the counter, while high-end systems are sold direct. With our reseller partners, ProspectSoft has a top quality sales and support force, able to address a nationwide market. In addition, our partners know their customers, with whom they have built relationships over several years. To Date, ProspectSoft has signed only 35% of Pegasus, Exchequer and Access channel partners, although they account for almost 80% of the total user-base for all those systems. It is because they are the best and most successful in the UK that ProspectSoft is committed to working with its partners.
 
ProspectSoft CRM is taking a growing share of a growing CRM market. We have seen a series of record months this year and the first two quarters' sales are up 50% over last year. The full market potential is only starting to become evident, so a lot of growth has yet to come.
 
The Importance of Mobility Today and Tomorrow: Alex Ward, Business Development manager of the Mobile communication Team at Intel® introduced the audience to Intel's future mobile plans. Improved laptop performance often comes at expense of battery life, but Intel's new Sonoma platform brings better power management and more choice for hardware designs. Dual core processing is clearly the way to deliver greater performance and more manageable systems. Wi-Fi hot spots are appearing almost everywhere but Intel still needs to promote their deployment actively and the fact that Mobile Network Operators are keen to support this could be the key. Wi-max technology is ever closer.
 
Accelerating Partner Success - several live case studies were presented
- End-user - Instacoustics Ltd: Sales Director Robert Paterson explained the major issues that were facing him when he joined the company and why, as a consequence, he implemented ProspectSoft CRM. His main recommendations on successful implementation of a CRM solution were (a) to have an office-based project manager who is 100% behind the project, (b) to consult internally, in detail to prioritise and phase the project. Too much change can raise staff's fear of change.
- Developer - CET Group Ltd: Mike Tucker from o-a-sys, who successfully implemented the CET Group CRM Solution, on 6 replicating servers across the country, talked through the different aspects of both implementation and customisation of the system. His main comments were that, when implementing ProspectSoft CRM, the system can evolve by adding functionality - it is both modular and can be adapted by resellers.
- Consultant - Saunders Leisure Services: Graham Daniel implemented a PDA-based solution on behalf of partner Francis Clark, in a company that supplies catering and hygiene products to hotels, pubs and restaurants in Cornwall. His message was that a clear mutual understanding of the customer's needs made for a smooth implementation and training on the system, for non-technical field staff.
An Expanding Family of XML API Options was announced. These include QAS Integration, Territory management, urgent Messaging, Credit Card Validation, Document Security, Promotions Manager, Telesales Rapid Order Entry V2 and Deposits Charges.
 
Increasing Lead Generation via the Web. Web enquiries to ProspectSoft have grown exponentially this year, thanks to a major programme of updates and optimisation. With the active cooperation of our partners to add more web links, the rate of potential user enquiries should grow even more in future.
